some new sprout studio pieces i've been fiddling around with. these are strung on vintage enamel chain & most are quite long. i learned a new technique on a few of them & i'm quite happy with how they are coming out. these will taken out for a spin at a few of the smaller holiday shows i'll be doing this year. i'm taking a retirement from the big huge shows i've been doing the last 7 years & staying local & staying small. i can breathe through the holidays a little easier that way :) stay tuned for details on shows.

driftwood talisman sticks

i collected oodles of driftwood on the oregon vacation this summer. i have plans for them. i got around to painting one for a giftie this past week & i love it - i think this might be a mighty fine addiction to have.

3 new necklaces for the sprout studio shop! sweet porcelain pendants, 2 with a mishima technique i learned recently & one with a lovely little impression of leaves. they all have colorful vintage enamel lengths of chain that they are strung on. i'm quite smitten with them. i made one for myself too!

v-day cards!

the mister & i decided this year we would follow the lead of julia child & her husband paul & from henceforth & forever more send out handmade valentines rather than worry ourselves over holiday cards! we've done this once in the past, but i like to think this is a tradition we can keep up with. i printed one of my photos in postcard size from our europe trip - some street art with "life is beautiful" tagged down in one the london tube stations. it took us several long evening weekends & afternoons to get in the groove of taping, cutting, writing, markering, crafting, drawing magic - but we got them all done in time to at least drop them in the post a coupla days prior to v-day! phew!

we sent out more than 65! we loved hearing back from those that mentioned they received them (& so glad to know they made it as some of them had some funky business taped to them!)

hope your valentines day was lovely & that february has you spotting hearts all around.
